Orla + Conor’s Winter Wedding at Inishowen Gateway

Orla and Conor’s love story is so cute. They had both moved to Perth (separately) nearly 8.5 years ago and met each other 6 months after that at a night club. As if it was all destined!

Since then, they have been inseparable. They fell in love, got engaged, and then married each other. I got this lovely opportunity to be their wedding photographer and document their special moments forever!

Orla and Conor had a winter wedding at Inishowen Gateway in Buncrana. It was such a beautiful and elegant affair.

Orla & Conor’s Engagement Shoot

Conor is a tiler but he grew up working on boats and is very handy. Rathmullan is a small harbor town so every time he comes home, his family has a list of boat-related jobs for him to do. Orla grew up in Buncrana. She plays Gaelic football in Perth.

I had photographed Orla and Conor’s engagement in Rathmullan. I remember what a lovely day it was and I had enjoyed so much photographing Orla and Conor amidst greenery. It was then that the two had told me that they were from the same country and grown up quite close to each other. It was funny that they came to know about it only when they met in Perth.

Conor had proposed to Orla on a beach in Fiji and asked a hotel worker to take photos of him popping the question.

Winter Wedding Photography in Buncrana

Orla and Conor got married at the St. Aengus Church in Burt and their bridal photos were taken in Fahan Pier. Orla brought her dress back from Australia. It was a gorgeous dress by Tuscany Bridal. Charlene Green did her make-up and her hair was done by Lara Diver. Orla looked ethereal!

Orla and Conor have a cocker spaniel back in Australia so Conor wore socks with the photo of his dog on them for their wedding. It was such a sweet gesture!

The best man, James put together a fantastic slideshow of photos of the couple’s life together. He played it on a screen after the speeches. Jennifer was Orla’s bridesmaid. One-year-old Odhran was the page boy and the flower girl was 7-year-old Emma Rose. Personally, I feel Flowers By Carmel did a fantastic job decorating the venue.

Orla and Conor, thank you so much. I loved being your wedding photographer. Michael Love Photography wishes you two a happy life ahead!
