I loved every minute of shooting Lucia and Wayne’s wedding. The happy couple were married in a stunning ceremony at St Joseph’s Church, Glenmoran. Before heading to the reception at the Radisson Blu in Letterkenny, we paid a visit to Silverbrook Mill, near Lucia’s parents’ house, as her dad got his hands on the keys to the grounds. This definitely served as the perfect location to get some beautiful photos of the newlyweds, with plenty of backdrops to capture shots with a difference.
I previously photographed Lucia’s sister Claudine and her husband Sean’s wedding a few years ago and since then I’ve photographed her other sister Joanne’s family portraits, so it was great having already built up a relationship with the family.
A personal highlight of the day for me was a traditional shotgun salute from a neighbour as Lucia left her parents’ house. It was a beautiful day from start to finish and luckily the weather held off for plenty of gorgeous outdoor photos.
