I’m so excited to share some of my favourite images from Tara and Brian’s Inishowen Gateway wedding today. I loved the beautiful day that I shared alongside them, and how their unique and special love really shows through in every single portrait from the day.
Tara and Brian met at Bound for Boston Pub at a christening for Brian’s niece and nephew. Those same twins also attended their wedding and read a poem toegther during the speeches which really added a special element into their beautiful Inishowen Gateway Wedding.
Tara was probably one of the most prompt brides we’ve ever met. In fact, she had so much time allotted for getting ready, she ended up having the chance to sit back and relax at her house before it was time for everyone to leave for the wedding! I loved photographing the touching tears that her Dad cried when he first saw Tara in her bridal gown; those are the moments that will leave lasting memories on your heart forever, and that raw emotion really makes photos special and beautiful.
“Molly” and “Marie” were waiting outside to whisk Tara, her dad and her stunning bridesmaids to St. Columb’s Church for their nuptials, and after their traditional ceremony, we headed over to Fahan Pier for photos. The weather forecast called for lashing rain, but instead we were greeted with blazing hot sunshine and a gorgeous light for their portraits!
After portraits, we headed to their reception at the Inishowen Gateway reception and the party began! Tara’s grandad made a short speech as well and had everyone equally in tears of laughter and emotion. The twins’ poem was also very funny and was such a sweet and personal touch and tribute to their uncle, whom you can tell they adore. Tara also used to babysit the singer for the reception, so she wrote them a special song, and they had a cute little dance at the bar while it was playing.
I hope you love their photos as much as I do, and I wish Tara & Brian many happy years together!
