Allison + Richard’s Drenagh House and Estate Wedding

Allison and Richard had a beautiful wedding at the historic Drenagh House and Estate, Limavadt. The ceremony was held in the Moon Garden of Drenagh and was an intimate affair with only 24 guests in attendance. By the evening around 100 more guests joined in at the reception to be a part of Allison and Richard’s celebration. The venue, decor, and especially the couple were all about class and elegance. Allison and Richard gave me the opportunity to be their wedding photographer and I truly enjoyed it.

Drenagh Estate Wedding Photography

Drenagh Estate is a Grade A listed building in N. Ireland. It boasts of Italian gardens and a fountain inspired by Roman architecture. It’s a great wedding venue and is always a delight for any wedding photographer.

I had the pleasure of photographing the bride and groom at the various beautiful spots that the estate had to offer. Before the wedding, Richard had told me that he wasn’t very comfortable getting photographed, but if someone saw him on his big day, they wouldn’t believe it! It was like magic. He was happy to be around his love and enjoyed every bit of his wedding. I got some amazing shots of the couple. I even got some photos of Richard having fun on the swing. There were lawn games for the guests and being an avid golf fan, Richard was quick to show off his golfing skills.

Allison and Richard’s daughters Anna and Emily were the flower girls and loved all the attention they were receiving. I got some cute photos of them alone and then with family. Alison and Richard, who had been together for about 20 years before getting married, said, “We are doing everything backwards.” They told me they had met at the age of 16 through common friends, spent time together, and started dating. They then moved in together, had kids, and the wedding was the last step.
