Aoife’s day started with a very laidback atmosphere in her family home, chatting with her girls while having their hair and make-up done while wearing her comfy socks in her favourite colour, until the two flower-girls arrived and filled the house with plenty of energy and dancing! From that moment on the excitement built until Aoife was ready to walk down the aisle to her husband-to-be, Christopher. The pair were married in a very touching ceremony by Father Mailey before we headed out to catch the sunshine between the rain for their bridal photos.
Every keen photographer knows that a forecast for sun and rain can lead to the opportunity for a rainbow and today did not disappoint, catching a gorgeous photo of Aoife & Christopher together on the Redcastle Hotel balcony with the rainbow curving over the horizon. We made the most of the sunshine to show off Aoife’s stunning Art Couture dress, carefully carried all the way home from Love Bridal in Crystal Palace and Christopher was loving the chance to spend the afternoon with his arms wrapped around his new wife.
The Redcastle room was decorated brilliantly by Lisa from I Do Wow Weddings and the flower wall holding the table plan was one of the many unique touches highlighting the effort this couple took to ensure everything was perfect for their big day. After entering with Celtic-lover Christopher sporting his favourite team’s scarf, he embraced the perils of ad-libbing his speech and everyone was touched by his words which clearly, as promised, came straight from his heart and brought a tear to a few eyes in the room. As always, the best man brought the laughs with a few tales of Christopher and put everyone in the mood to party the night away as soon as the couple stepped on the dancefloor for their first dance.
Thank you both for choosing me for your wedding photography, we had a great day with you both and I can’t wait to hear how your honeymoon is!
