Julie and Paul have been friends of mine for years and we have all been waiting so long for them to tie the knot after Paul popped the question eight years ago! Finally, we were treated to an amazing day to celebrate them both becoming Mr & Mrs surrounded by friends and family and basking in the sun (almost!) all day long.
Even though the forecast was for a wet start the rain held off while Julie and Paul were getting ready in the morning and the excitement started to build when the news came back that the Beech Hill had decorated the pagoda in preparation for the outdoor ceremony that everyone was hoping for. Julie and her father walked down the red carpet with smiles that spoke volumes and which were only surpassed by the smiles from both Julie and Paul as they walked back up the carpet to start their married life.
While their guests were treated to canapes and drinks on the front lawn we headed into the gorgeous gardens of the Beech Hill hotel to capture some stunning images of the happy couple and their bridal party, as well as a star appearance from Julie’s family dog, Alfie! Thankfully the rain didn’t arrive until we were heading back to the hotel for the reception, with another delicious meal from Patsy and her staff and a highlight for myself that I was able to enjoy the wedding meal with my fiancée Vanessa!
After heading back into the gardens for some creative twilight images the couple hit the dancefloor to wow their guests with their first dance before inviting everyone else up to start the party proper!
It was a pleasure to be able to spend the entire day photographing the wedding of such close friends and thank you so much for choosing me for your wedding photography. It was great to be able to party into the wee small hours with all our friends celebrating your special day!
