Caroline + Ryan’s Wedding – Ballyliffin Lodge

See more:

Caroline and Ryan’s wedding took place on the 18th August at Craigbane Chapel and they hosted their reception at the beautiful Ballyliffin Lodge in Donegal.

The happy couple met many years ago in a bar on a night out, it was actually Ryan’s best man who first bought Caroline a drink, but when he nipped to the loo, Ryan swooped in and bought her another. The rest, as they say, is history.

The couple chose a distinctly kitsch Katie Alice theme, which was evident through the amazing finishing touches from start to finish. It was very much a family affair with Caroline’s mum making one of the most amazing cakes I have ever seen! Plus, she also created the meticulously styled and hand-made centrepieces. Glass bottles were perfectly finished with photographs of the couple, or messages inside, to give them a truly personal feel. They went a step further on the top table, with each persons’ seat marked by a bottle with a photo of the person with their bride or groom, a truly personal touch!

Although the weather wasn’t on our side for the full afternoon we did manage to capture some photos outdoors and indoors at Thornhill Convent, and made it down to the beach for their twilight portraits, which are a highlight and a dramatic finale to their album.

Congratulations Caroline and Ryan, wishing you a very happy future together!
